Franz Ferdinand in Bochum

Upscale restaurant in a good location by the city park and zoo. The price level corresponds to the quality of the food - everything we have eaten there so far (from schnitzel to cordon bleu to cheese spaetzle and the legendary apple strudel) has been absolutely delicious. If you are looking for a good address in Bochum for private meals, family or smaller company celebrations, this is the right address.

Very tasty, only the ambience wasn't 10/10

Today we went to the RV dinner at the FF. Right in front of the zoo exit is a cute place - made for 1 mobile home ;-) The food was sensational and the service excellent. We would love to come back! ToiToiToi for you in 2021!

We celebrated our wedding at Franz Ferdinand in August. It was just PERFECT! The food, the location, the service ..... simply beautiful. Thanks again for that😊. Even so, we always like to come to the restaurant for dinner. The good reviews speak for themselves.

The starter soup was a little too salty. Otherwise good service, delicious food and good surroundings.

Enjoy your meal. Everything freshly prepared. Nice personel. Nice atmosphere despite Corona. Located directly at the zoo and therefore the perfect combination - also for cakes and waffles.

Great Austrian cuisine. Are here more often. And courteous, friendly staff. With a view of the flamingos from the zoo.

Mega delicious dishes. Today I ate the mussels. The most delicious mussels I've ever eaten 👍😋🤩. The staff is very professional and very careful that the guest wants for nothing. Looking forward to our next visit. 😍

The meal was excellent. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. But since I wanted to go on a culinary trip to Austria, I was unpleasantly surprised by the interior design. Nothing reminded me of Austria and its flair. I thought I would come in and feel like I was in an Austrian restaurant. The interior could have been anything!

One of the top addresses in Bochum and with the clear culinary focus and authentic cuisine also unique in Bochum. The location directly at the flamingo enclosure of the Bochum zoo is another great plus point. The staff is polite and very friendly. We'd love to come back, whether it's apple strudel, strawberry tartlets or Wiener schnitzel.

The decoration in the squares and throughout the restaurant is decent and beautiful. The toilets are always clean and all in all the restaurant gives a good impression. The staff was fast, clean and nice. From my point of view, a meeting there is totally recommendable. For my part, my partner and I have already had one entire menu ordered up and down. The meal was served extremely quickly.

Very tasty food and the portions are always big enough to fill you up. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately a little slow. But on the whole a successful visit. It was definitely not our last.

The food is below average, little taste, very very small portions and very overpriced. We were in a group with several people for lunch and none of us was fed up. That has never happened to me. Very sad that there is such a thing. Conclusion: price-performance ratio is not correct here, very small portions and very expensive. You don't get full here.

Excellent restaurant. We were there for Christmas and the value for money is really excellent for the food that was offered there. We would have paid more for the menu and definitely not the last time there even if we have a very long journey, it was very worth it.

Fabulous food served within a warm and friendly atmosphere.

The staff were usually on hand to hear our needs. Our table had been reserved for my sister's birthday, she was really excited and the place appeared great. Enjoy this place, reasonably priced. Good food, plenty of options, would undoubtedly recommend. Wide range of drink and food, surely something for everybody.

Simply delicious

A very pleasant atmosphere. The food is fresh, the portions good. We had several dishes, all of which were excellent. The Kaiserschmarrn is a dream A little piece of Vienna in the Ruhr area. The service is organized and very friendly. The only point of criticism would be that you are served at busy times by different waiters.

Very nice small and elegant restaurant with indoor and outdoor area. The terrace overlooks the zoo with a beautiful view of a pond with flamingos. Cake selection extensive and highly recommended is currently the strawberry tart (preferably with a portion of Schlagoberst). Very fast and very friendly service. Cash and card payment possible. Overall, highly recommended. Just go and enjoy yourself.

We were here yesterday and were very satisfied. The food was amazingly tasty. The Sauerbraten was butter tender! For today I had taken a Sacheretorte, incredible !!!! The staff is very nice, attentive and absolutely relaxed. Can I recommend without reservation! Maybe you'll open a restaurant in Hannover ?! The first regulars you would have in any case ;-)

Today I had a superb vegan 3-course dinner here. Respect to the kitchen staff! €35,- including two drinks is very reasonable. The courses were well balanced, good size portions and really well prepared. Not just any kitchen can improvise a well balanced vegan dinner. Friendly and quick serving. I'm very happy I went here and I certainly will eat here again.
